In this game you will take on the role of one of six civil rights organizations, the Student Non-violent Co-ordinating Committee (SNCC, pronounced "Snick"), the Congress of Racial Equality (CORE), the Southern Christian Leadership Conference (SCLC), the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP), the NAACP Legal Defense and Education Fund Inc. (LDF or "the Inc. Fund"), or the Liberal Coalition in the Congress (the LIBS). The game consists of three Turns, representing the Eisenhower, Kennedy, and Johnson Administrations. In each Turn, the players will work on Projects to desegregate schools (S Projects), integrate public accommodations (A Projects) and register Blacks to vote (V Projects). The mechanics for each type of Project is different, but all involve playing cards from the players' hands to mobilize protesters and conduct protests. Through protesting, the players will score VPs through collecting cubes. However, for each card played the player must add a reinforcement of segregationist cubes, and challenges will arise that the players must work together to overcome. The player with the most VPs wins the game. The original rulebook that was issued with the 2022 publication of the game has been completely replaced in 2025 and is available for download in the files section of BoardGameGeek. The current rules are for 1-4 players, with a separate rule book for 5- and 6- player games.
