Dragons of Dunsmuir is a competitive two-player card game in which players battle by using three types of dragons -- Fire, Ice, and Water. In rock-paper-scissors format, each dragon has a type that they defeat and a type that they are defeated by. The game is played in a series of rounds and each round consists of a series of battles. During a battle, players play out a facedown dragon and then the players reveal. The type and number of the dragon will determine the winner of that battle. What separates this game from simple rock-paper-scissors randomness is the powers of each dragon. Fire dragon powers focus on scoring more points in certain scenarios, Ice dragon powers focus on revealing information and trading cards, and Water dragon powers focus on exchanging cards from hand with those in the draw pile. Throughout the game, you may find your strategies evolving as you learn your opponent's tendencies and patterns, and as they learn yours as well. The game ends when a player reaches a certain amount of points at the end of a round. —description from the designer
