A space battle game based on Warhammer 40,000 (Third Edition) rules, Spaceship Battles was originally published in Games Workshop's White Dwarf magazine, issue #225, and uses a variety of cardboard counters that are moved and fired by distance measuring. This seems to be the concept game to Battlefleet Gothic. A few pictures of Battlefleet Gothic models and drawings were supplied in the article.
