An obscure fantasy adventure boardgame independently published by the designer in the 1980's. Three players control groups of warriors seeking to plunder the treasure cavern of the "Board Master," a fourth player. Each group of warriors competes against the other groups in an attempt to steal the Board Master's treasure. A warrior player wins by carrying the Board Master's treasure to a designated sanctuary space. The Board Master's goal is to eliminate all of the warriors. At the Board Master's disposal are three wizards, six trolls, a Golden Guardian, and an Angel of Death! Each warrior player controls four warriors. The various playing pieces are plastic figurines. At heart, Wizards and Blades is a traditional roll-and-move style game with events and flavor provided through cards. Combat between pieces can be resolved through dice rolling or card play. —user summary
