For Words is played with a deck of cards, most showing a single letter. There are also some wild cards and blank cards. The game starts with each player having five cards and two on the table. On their turn a player must add a single card to the table to form a new word. Cards can be played before, after, in between, or on top of the current cards. Blank cards can be played on top of letters to effectively erase them. If a player can't play they draw until they can. The object is to either play all your cards or force the other players to have at least ten. The game is normally played in multiple rounds with scoring.
