Avanti is played on a 8x8 grid. Each player has 16 plastic cylinders on the rows nearest them, but one is in their opponent's color and one has a pawn standing on top. The object of the game is to get your pawn to your piece that starts on your opponent's side of the board, but it can only move on the cylinders. The cylinders move by jumping over one or more cylinders of the same color, and an opposing cylinder at the end of a line can be captured by landing on it. You can also move the opposing goal cylinder on your side of the board.
