As a top genetic engineer you're keen to show off your skills by challenging your peers to create the best organism for specific environment. In Gene Dreams, you select a sequence of genes (by fixing the order of 3 cards) that are then executed in order with the aim to hold a majority on the environment in play. Holding a majority on an environment will early VP. Only a proportion of the full environment is known at the start of the game, so the engineers must plan for different environments as their creations expand.
