Description

A master potter is seeking an apprentice to inherit their studio! Manage your time, refine your craft, and prove your mastery at the wheel before your rivals do. The Potter s Apprentice is a strategic Eurogame featuring movement-based action selection and multi-use cards. Over two rounds, players guide their apprentice through the studio, gathering materials, acquiring projects, and developing skills. By visiting key locations — like the Potter s Wheel to throw clay and the Kiln to fire finished pieces — players transform raw resources into valuable creations. At the heart of the game is each player s spinning pottery wheel, where every new piece advances production — but also increases the cost of future work. Timing and efficiency are critical. As players move through the studio, they also compete for Challenges by placing clay across shared workspaces, claiming endgame scoring opportunities through area control. Throughout the game, players unlock abilities, leverage discarded cards for bonuses, and shape their strategy around both immediate gains and long-term goals. In the final scoring, players are rewarded for their fired pottery, completed projects, resource development, and mastery across experience tracks—but neglecting an area of study may cost valuable points. The apprentice who best balances craft, efficiency, and ambition will be chosen to take over the studio.
