Stars & Lasers is a simple set of spaceship combat rules, which are meant to be a fast-play rules system for simulating combat between spaceships of all sizes and any manufacturer, using as little as two ships up to around half a dozen ships per side for a normal game of maybe a couple of hours or so, the system can cope with more ships per side but these games would take longer to play. The main reason this rule set came about was from my need to play a simple spaceship game with no written orders or slow complicated game play, and with a cinematic feel to the way the models move and act on the table.... and no hexes!! —description from the publisher
