Mummy Match: Consonant Matching Game
1997
Published by The At-A-Glance Group
Mummy Match is an educational children's game designed to teach reading and letter sounds and also adds a memory element. Players roll a die and move their pieces around the board. Each space displays a word starting with a different consonant, and the player must find a matching word from an array of face-down cards on the board. A match allows the player to roll again and continue moving. No match means the player's turn ends. The face-down card is replaced either way, giving other players information. Cards are color-coded in groups to narrow down the choices. The first player to move all the way around the track and return to the starting space wins.
