An exciting way to learn about producers and consumers! Producers and Consumers is an educational game designed to teach the basic economic concepts of production, consumption, bartering and specialization to students in grades 1-3. Each player draws a card depicting a profession and gets several resource tokens related to their job. On the back of their card is their goal--the resources they must collect to win. Players must then trade to try to collect all the resources they need. The first player to collect all the necessary resources wins. The game can be played at three levels. At level one, resources are plentiful and all players should be able to complete their cards with simple one-to-one trades. At level two, some resources are scarcer and some players have a smaller supply, so one-to-one trades may not be sufficient to complete cards. At level three, there are not enough resources for all players to complete their cards, so competition for some resources may be fierce!
