Les Apprentis de la Manufacture is the first game from producers L'Auberge des Jeux. Each player take the role of a manufacture, attempting to create Jouy fabrics to gain the rank of Royal Manufacture by Queen Marie-Antoinette. Each turn players can visit the Market, the Auction House or the Artists' House, in order to buy goods, create fabrics or hire artists. The player who creates the most valuable fabrics will win the game. The game consists of illustrated fabric boards and cards. A supply of 'Ecu' (paper money) is also provided. The production is richly illustrated and has tonnes of thematic flavor and text information.
