DISASTER! is for ages 8 and up, 2 to 4 players with an average playing time 15 - 30 minutes. Learn about natural disasters and how they affect the U.S, including how scientists rank the strengths of the different disasters. Learn which geographic areas are at risk and how the seasons affect a disaster's occurrence. Tornadoes, earthquakes, hurricanes, floods, wildfires... are just a few of the disasters that you'll face in this game. Game includes: Deck of 59 full color board Disaster & Defense playing cards, full-color game board featuring map of US, 15 color territory marker pieces. Each card contains facts and information about specific historical disasters. In DISASTER!, you want to control territories of the US that are worth different points. You gain territories by playing disaster cards against your opponent's territories, like a hurricane against Florida. But your opponent might have a defense... like The National Hurricane Center... To block you. Each game last 16 turns, with each turn a different season. Many disasters can only be played during certain seasons. At end of the last turn , add up your points for the territories you control, the player with the highest points wins!
