Rules for ancient combat simulation. This is a rule set for miniatures battles at an army scale. Units are comprised of 2 - 12 Elements with each element being upwards of 200 men or horses, single elephants, or 20 or so chariots. It includes a points system for balancing armies and terrain, and for calculating victory. Movement and ranges are calculated as multiples of element base size. The rules are simple and straightforward with consideration given to different arms and armour in combat as well as Determination (which is factored from morale), organization, and depth of ranks. The main distinguishing characteristic of these rules is perhaps the necessity to Order each unit, the considerations for changing orders, and the fact that troops under attack orders must move forward. Thus initial Orders, especially,(which may include if , until , and then clauses) are very important. —user summary
