On your turn draw 1 card and play 1 card, doing exactly what the card's rules say to do. Typically, this will be to discard more cards, draw more cards, or give or take cards from another player. If you can't do it exactly, you can not play it. If you can't play anything, draw a 2nd card and end your turn.
