Gunfighter's Ball is a fun, fast-paced tabletop miniatures game of the Old West. The rules tie into a full range of highly-detailed digitally-designed miniatures from Knuckleduster Miniatures, and fall of 2018 will see the release of four card decks, poker chips, and a hardcover rule book in support of the game. Kickstarter materials (cards, buildings, books, etc.) will start going out to backers late summer of 2018 and be available to the general public shortly afterward. Players choose two actions for their character when their card is pulled from a poker deck (players typically control two characters and each character is activated on a different card). Moving, firing, and would location and severity are determined using dice. Health points are tracked using poker chips which are cashed in as hits are taken. There are mechanisms for reacting to opponent's actions, as well as rules for mounted movement and other iconic western things. Characters can be given special abilities to enhance game play, and optional card decks (released fall 2018) facilitate dealing out special abilities and wounds rather than using charts from the book. Right now, miniature figures, buildings and other terrain, custom dice, and a free set of rules are available from Knuckleduster. —description from the publisher
