Players take the role of Bariesus, powerful mages capable of manipulating the four elements. Players must conquer territories through combat, driven by cards. The mages can summon armies of air, earth, water, and fire, as well as different spells, and the combat is ultimately defined by the played cards. Conquered territories give taxes, and the money is needed to hire mercenaries. The game is over when a player conquers a given number of territories or, if nobody has won in 20 turns, the God Kasdail destroys the universe.
