For example, here's a 7-card hand where the target number was 2: 1 2 4 8 x 8. Notice the use of multi-digit numbers as well as a fraction. Parentheses can also be used and for serious students of mathematics the "Order of Operations" principle can be followed. There is also a solitaire version of EQUALS.
