The war had raged for millennia. Or it started just a week ago, depending on how you look at it. Time travel can be quite confusing. What's known for certain is that the fighting is between four different sides: The Aliens, the Apes and Monkeys, the Robots, and the Space Vikings. They all got access to the temporal technologies at the same time, not that "same time" means much in this situation. With time travel it doesn't really matter *when* it's invented... Each player is sending out their agents to different points in the timestream, trying to control key time periods and technologies. By planning your moves right you can re-use the same cards multiple times, and even revive agents killed in action!
