Description
McLoughlin Brothers of New York produced this Mother Goose card game. The copyright dates it from 1892. Grouping children's rhymes together and calling them Mother Goose Tales, is known to date from 15th century Europe. McLoughlin's game was a simple matching card game, a bit similar to Old Maid, with illustrations and verses from well-known childrens' rhymes.
