Description

From the game's introduction "Shoestring Racer is a game about racing at the bottom end of the financial spectrum, where getting a bike built at all is a triumph of determination over lack of cash. The first part of the game represents the panic-stricken rushing around to get the racing goodies in the last fortnight before the racing season starts and the second part is the actual race, in which you discover whether your hastily assembled pile of bits is a potential winner." Components - Board featuring racetrack on one side, buildup grid on the other. - 8 page rules booklet (A5 size). - Movement Aid sheet (A4) giving examples of various moves. - 2 decks of cards/tiles "Shop" and "Practice". - pad of score sheets. - plastic bike tokens.
