From the publisher: Can playing a board game stop your child from making grim financial mistakes as an adult? That s the aim of Hard Times, the money management board game for kids (and their parents) that seeks to eliminate those future financial mistakes. Players start out with a line of credit and loop through the path any young adult might take: dinner with friends, college, finding a job, shopping for house supplies. But Hard Times lives up to its name: get fined for parking in the handicapped space, max out your credit card, and turn down a job only to be faced with a hospital bill? Real life hurdles lurk. Players compete to build personal wealth. The first player to be gainfully employed, purchase and furnish a home, buy a car, and – here s the tricky part – end up debt free, wins the game.
