The West Front is the second Volume dedicated to the air struggles between the Italian Regia Aeronautica with its CR42 Falco and G50 Freccia against the Arm e de l'Air Morane 406 and Leo 451, which are trying to bomb the Italian port of Genoa on the Ligure Sea. The system named "The propeller rotates and the engine roars" (Gira l'elica e romba il motor, an old Italian song on Air Force) will be developed into other volumes, with Voyenno-Vozdushnye Sily (the Soviet Air Force) and Luftwaffe amongst others, being centered on the Italian Royal Air Force (La Regia)
