Open Card Game is actually a collection of games (the exact number is unclear) which all use the common mechanic of placing playing cards on a board and moving them. There are three different custom card decks used and three different boards as well. The mechanics for the various games involve standard card game mechanics such as higher ranks beating lower ranks, trumping, etc.
