JOIN THE CIRCLE: During the mid-nineteenth century, spiritualism became increasingly popular. Mediums would gather a group of believers for a s ance as they attempted to contact the spirits of their dearly departed relatives. Now it s time for you to create your own circle around the table as you attempt to contact these wispy spirits. OBJECT OF THE GAME: Play cards onto the s ance circle to make contact with Spirits – contact your spirit by matching its incantation icons or by spelling out the word S ance . Collect Spirit cards before they close the circle and end the game. CONTACTING SPIRITS You get your choice of five actions: REPLACE a card in the circle with one from your hand SWAP two adjacent cards in the circle PLACE a card from your hand over one that matches its icon PASS a card to your neighbor DISCARD your hand to draw back up to five cards HOW TO WIN: Capture 13 points in spirits wins. In the competitive game, capture friendly or unfriendly 7 Spirit cards to win.
