Each player controls two deputies out searching for outlaws. The object of the game is to collect the most reward money by capturing outlaws. When an outlaw is captured, he must be returned to the sheriff's office to collect the reward. If another deputy is able to catch up with deputies bringing an outlaw to the sheriff's office, that deputy may join up and share in the reward. Certain spaces along the trails allow outlaws to escape.
