Speed Place Value
2007
Published by Educational Insights
A bingo-style game, Speed Place Value uses a novel randomizer element. Each of three domed shakers contains four marbles - red, yellow, green and blue. Each also has four divots labeled with place values like "ones", "millions" and "hundredths". The color-coordinated Bingo cards have numbers on them where the four relevant digits are colored in a matching set of colors. At the start of each round, someone shakes the shaker until the four balls settled into the four divots. Players then evaluate the nine numbers on their game boards for digits that match the place value/marble color pairs, placing a chip on a match. The first player to place three chips in a row wins.
