Issue game in Command Magazine Japan #104 Operational level wargame of the Kawagoe battle during the Warring States Period (戦国時代 Sengoku jidai) in Japan. The Kawagoe battle is one of the three major surprise attack in Japanese History. Players control either Hojo clan or the Allied force of Uesugi clan and Ashikaga Shogunate. Each player manages command allocation, movement and combat. Both force has different characteristics. The Hojo clan has small but powerful trained units. They also have special activation chit for Hojo Tsunasige. He was commander of Kawagoe castle and made effective sortie. The allied force has large units many more than Hojo clan's units. Their command control was inefficient because their army was a patchwork of clans. Winner determined by special sudden-death condition or victory point. Victory point earn by elimination of opponent units and condition of Kawagoe Castle.
