Octopunk is a tile placement exploration game set in the near future, transgenic octopi have been tasked with building a human habitat on Europa's deep ocean floor. Players pick one of five different uplifted octopi and search 36 exploration tiles looking for the resources to build the dome while dodging the very dangerous dragon jellyfish. the humans will arrive in only four years and if the mission is not complete everyone loses. The Game consists of twenty five eight sided Ocean Floor zones in the spaces between the octagonal zones square exploration tiles are placed face down, they may contain either resources or hazards for the players to discover. If the players have completed building the human habitat and surrounded it with four defense turrets (before the humans arrive) then points are scored by resources collected, structures built, and hazards defeated.
