Description

Carnage is a fantasy table-top miniatures wargame depicting a war between human barbarians and humanoid lizard people called Herptars. The game is typical of 25mm scale fantasy wargames and involves archers, cavalry, infantry and magic-wielding sorcerers for both forces. Carnage introduces certain elements of humor to keep the game light-hearted. A good deal of this game's audience is the convention going crowd and the designers purposely implemented tongue-in-cheek silliness to keep the game in perspective. At the heart of the carnage battlefield is a reality-altering "orb" drawn along in a cart by two flamingo-dodoes. The cart skips around the battlefield during the game causing random effects that help, hinder, annoy and amuse both sides. Effects range from rain showers to muddy the ground and slow opponents to random teleportations. Everything is all in the spirit of fun. Overall, Carnage is a good, non-serious wargame that still requires some strategy to win.
