Description

Bagration 1944 is the codename of the Soviet offensive against the Heeresgruppe Mitte (Army Group Centre German). In two weeks, it will largely achieve its objectives, destroying a large number of divisions and opening a gap of 400 km wide in the German front. For the first time, the Wehrmacht can not stabilize the situation. The game covers the first two weeks of the battle. Another will focus on the following weeks. Both are played independently but may be related to a great campaign. Bagration 1944 is a game for two players, one representing the commander of German forces and the other the commander of Soviet forces. It is played on a map covering the theater of the time. It is divided into hexagons representing 20 km from one side to another. It uses pre-cut cardboard pieces in representing military units that participated in this campaign: the German side of divisions and army corps on the Russian side for the most part. A full game lasts 10 turns, each representing two days of real time. Ziplock game with: - one A2-size map - 192 counters - 16 pages full color rules (both French and English) - A quick reference aid - A german display for operation points - A soviet display for operation points
